Harry Norman was born 7 October 1891 in Chicago, IL. His parents Albert and Julia lived in Thomasburg ON, and his wife Lillie lived at 12 Durham Street, Lindsay ON. There are no other details known about his family.

He enlisted 24 February 1915 with the 39th Battalion in Lindsay, and also served with the 45th Regiment. He was listed as a fireman on his attestation papers.

After enlisting, his Battalion was sent for training in Belleville, ON, and it was here that Harry contracted spinal meningitis in March 1915. He was hospitalized for almost 4 months before he succumbed to the disease in Belleville on 29 June 1915.

Harry Norman is buried in White Lake Cemetery, Madoc ON. He was 24 years old.
