Haugh, John Roger


John Haugh

John Roger Haugh was born 10 January 1897 in Lindsay ON to James and Catherine (Fleischmann) Haugh of Lindsay ON. After having 5 daughters, the couple had twin boys, James and John.

On 1 March 1918, John enlisted in Kingston and was taken on strength with the 8th Reserves and sent to England. Very soon after he arrived in England, he became seriously ill with pleurisy, and was finally invalided back to Canada in April 1919 as a “stretcher case” with tuberculosis. He died at his parents home at 56 Melbourne Street West, Lindsay ON, on 22 January 1922.

John Haugh is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay ON. He was 25 years old.
