UNVEIL NURSES' TABLET
ON MONDAY AFTERNOON
Erected to Memory of Those Who Met Death in Service.
The memorial tablet to the memory of the nurses of the Ontario Military Hospital, who gave their lives during the war was placed in position outside the legislative Chamber at Queen's Park to-day. The tablet will be unveiled, Monday afternoon, by Major Margaret C. MacDonald, R.R.O., Matron in Chief of the Canadian Overseas Military Forces. A brief memorial service will be read by Hon. Dr. Cody, former Minister of Education.
The tablet is of brass, mounted on an ebony frame and is inscribed;
"To the Undying Memory of the Nursing Sisters of the Ontario Military Hospital who gave their lives in the service of their Country during the Great War, 1914-1919." Then follow the names of the nurses and the Inscription. "Their name shall live forever."

The nurses whose names appear on the tablet are:
Nursing Sister Mary McKenzie, next of kin, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. McKenzie, (parents); 290 McPherson avenue, Toronto, Ontario. Graduate of Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, N.Y.,; proceeded overseas, April. 1916; drowned as the result of enemy action at sea, 26-6-18. while on duty on Hospital Ship, Llandovery Castle.
Nursing Sister S. E. Garburtt, born Pickering, Yorkshire, England; graduate of Royal Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, Ontario. Next of kin Rev. John Garburtt, (brother), Oshawa, Ontario; proceeded overseas. June, 1917; died of cancer, August 28th, 1917.
Nursing Sister S. E. Garbutt, shire, Scotland; graduate of Winnpeg General Hospital; next of kin, Thomas Lowe, Esq. (father), Binscarth, Man.; wounded 19-6-18; enemy aircraft at Etaples, France: gunshot wound, chest: died of wounds 28-5-18.
Nursing Sinter D. H. Baldwin, born Toronto, Ont.; graduate of Victoria Hospital,. London, Ont.: next of kin, Mrs. Rohert Baldwin (mother), Paris, Ont.; proceeded overseas 8-6-17:died of wounds, enemy raid at Doulens, France, on the 30-6-18.
Nursing Sister M. E. Greene, born Listowel, Ont.; next of kin, Mrs. James Greene (mother), Harmsworth, Man.; graduate of Medicine Hat Hospital; proceeded overseas May. 1917 died in France at No. 24 British General Hospital, Etaples. France, of double pneumonia on the 9-10-18.
