Haliburton Boy Killed In Holland

Haliburton, Feb. 5 (PNS)—Haliburton citizens were shocked on Friday, Feb. 2nd, when word reached the village that Gnr. Ross F. Davidson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Davidson, was killed on active service in Holland on Jan. 29th.

Gnr. Davidson enlisted with the 45th at Lindsay and has been overseas three years. He was with a 7th Canadian Army Field Regiment.

Gnr. Ross Davidson was a member of the United Church and was well-known in hockey circles. He spent his boyhood days in Haliburton and was a favorite among the boys at school and in the field of sport. Before enlisting, he was employed at the local post office.

Besides his father, he is survived by two sisters, Loretta and Bernice of Toronto, and two brothers, Aiken of Toronto, and Cpl. Bernard Davidson, who is in a convalescent hospital in England.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
